sebastian:One thing you can try is to put the static files into the zip and
use a python wrapper that will unzip, open and return that file contents as
response. You can use cStringIO module for that.

I haven't tried this solution yet, but I will try this tonight (because if
it works then it solves lots of my problems too).

Let me know if you get it working.
