I checked the server side code on svn and it appears that there is no
file handler specified.
public ServerLogImplJDK14() {
logger = Logger.getLogger("gwt-log");
logger.setUseParentHandlers(false);
ConsoleHandler consoleHandler = new ConsoleHandler();
consoleHandler.setLevel(Level.ALL);
logger.addHandler(consoleHandler);
}
I think that should probably be fixed in the next release
