Indeed. I just commented on the fact that running the thumbnailer in the TMS mode is unlikely to produce something useful on MS Windows. There may be other methods to provide thumbnails, such as directly filling the thumbnail cache (this is what the TMS mode does on Unix). But whether they are feasible, I have no idea...
