Hi List,

I would like to create a GeoTIFF of a Geosoft GRD file and retain the
complete coloization. When I use the Copy/Convert command I get a
GeoTIFF with only hues of Green. My guess is that the GeoTIFF is really
a RGB colorization, meaning 3 separate layers of 256 colors each while
the GRD is a single layer with the complete range of available colors.
Thus, when the conversion is done, the range of values for the GRD file
are mapped into a single layer, in this case the Green layer, of the
GeoTIFF file.

Is this correct? More importantly, how do I go about creating a
GeoTIFF from a GRD file and retain the colorization.

Has anyone written a GX to do this?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Cheers,

Ron Bell
