JP, I am from NY originally and I loved the 4' shoulders. Down here is a different story.
If you are looking for information about racing, you need to check out Simple Green and Allstars. There may be others but they are the main racing teams here. Some of the Gyros ride with them on some of their weekly rides but, for most of us, their weekly rides ARE races. I am not the person to help you with this but there are others on this forum that can. How about it Andy? JP - If you are looking for great rides through the Northern part of NC join us sometime. We travel as far as Virginia and there are some fantastic country roads as you will see. Very little traffic and many are getting new surfaces. It'll be a good prep for getting you started again if racing is your long term goal.
