Tony,
Most of the Gyros were not with the club when you worked on the original design for what is now easily the most original, creative jersey in Raleigh. I recall how fussy your were with this design, and how many times you had to push back the delivery date. You just were not going to settle for anything less than excellence. I also remember how many of us were getting impatient, and wondering if this was going to be worth the investment that we all made. I also remember sending out a post (yes, my posts were long winded back then, too) that listed how we would respond to this wait once we actually received the jersey. I put it on a scale of 1 - 5, I believe. If the final design was a 5, you would be our hero and living legend. If it was a 1, we were going to pay your way back to New York, and give your jerseys to the cycling team at Attica. (This isn't the wording exactly, since I don't remember it verbatim, but you get the idea.) Well, when we finally received that first jersey we were all blown away. It exceeded our expectations. I had wished that I gave you a higher scale value! The moral of the story: please take as long as you need. I will state for the record that everyone will be most pleased with the results.
