Nancy,

I just recently heard about how doctors are going to this procedure (when it is 
warranted) to avoid full knee replacement. Re-positioning the patellar tendon 
onto the tibial tuberosity is just flat out genius...and, could only be done 
with today's technology. It just blows me away at how talented and well-trained 
our surgeons are. 

I really hope that your Doctor finds out that this procedure will work for 
you...it is my understanding that it is less invasive, and the recovery is much 
quicker. At least this comes from a man where I work who was researching this 
option when it was mentioned to him by his Doctor.
