Adopt-A-Highway that is! \\ Yes, the Raleigh Gyros Cycling Club is about to put it's parenting skills to the test as it adopts a 2 mile stretch of Norwood Road. For those of you that are already parents, this committment only involves 4 years and technically you only have to visit your child 4 times a year. You are encouraged to visit as many times as you would like if you feel some additional tidying up is needed (we know how messy kids can be!).
In the meantime Tony is helping me get the adoption papers ready and we need as many signatures as possible. This is more of a formality so even if you can only visit once a month (bad parent!), we still need signatures. There will be 2 signs posted proclaiming your committment (and we're hoping drivers will think twice before mowing us down) and now they will see what really great parents we are under those helmets.
