The top of the "water bottle" contains the iPOD. There are no speakers on
or in the bottle. The speakers are attached to the handlebars along with a
optional remote control. Personally I like to listen to the sound of the
wind, tires, traffic and all the other beautiful music that my bike and nature
offers. I can see some benefit of a music box for those commuting on really
bad days - just to keep from being reminded on just how bad it is while
riding around. Having gone 10 years without a car years ago I was commuting
15 miles each way to work and also training/racing. I normally do not
advocate the use of distractions while riding your bike. But on days that
there was ice/snow on the roads or really rainy days I would sometimes use
music to help motivate me. I can contact them tomorrow and make sure they
are available to bike stores. I would guess that they should be available to
any shop that wants to buy them for retail.
