Randy and I did a modified version of the route. We started at the
same park and rode to and up Squirrel Spur. We then continued on
Squirrel Spur to Meadows of the Dan where we had lunch. Then we got
on the parkway for about 30 miles to come down Pipers Gap (the last
one). Then followed the route back to the park. It ended up being
74.5 miles with around 3700 ft of climbing. Nothing major (other than
the spur) but lots of nice rollers and maybe a couple medium climbs of
1-2 miles. There was some excitement coming down the last gap when we
passed a bunch of cyclists climbing up who told us to slow way down
because as we came around a corner a car was turned over in the middle
of the road. Too bad I didnt get a picture of that!

But I did get some nice pictures considering how hazy it was up
there. You can see them at my facebook page (its public).
