I thought that these were gyro rides and if you sign a waiver that makes you part of the group. I don't have anything against the gyros I have enjoyed the rides. The bottom line is i had a flat and Gary helped me out. If not I would have been screwed. I have only lived here 2 yrs so I am not that familiar with the roads. I am sure a mototorist would have stopped and given me a ride back. Just thankful that is all.

Your point is mute in this situation since the writer specifically designated the Gyros in his report, even though there were non-Gyros in the group that supposedly left him for dead.

It looks as though anyone on these rides who does not consider themselves a Gyro would be exempt from any action viewed as inconsiderate.

Someone without an agenda would simply have stated that "the group" did not wait for him, unless a roster of club affiliations was at his disposal.

Ok. I have said enough! I have to heal this body so that I am on my bike on Saturday mornings instead of responding to trivial issues on google...You will hear no more from me, I promise!! (Was that a collective 'yay'!...)

Of course, that brings into question whose ride this is *now* - what with
the Gyros passing out waivers at every opportunity.

The only ride that specifically states waiting for mechanicals is the
Saturday A ride. The Thursday ride warns that it is a DROP ride for
those that cannot maintain the pace (which could technically include
mechanicals). Perhaps Dave can shed light on whether the Thursday
ride is supposed to stop for mechs?

I would like to thank Gary of TLC Bikes for helping me with my flat on
last nights ride. I was riding on the Thurs. night ride and i had a flat about 6 miles into the ride. I thought the ride was a stop for mechanicals but no one stopped. Luckily Gary and 2 others were behind me and stopped and waited for me. Gary stripped my tire off and had the thing changed in under 2 mins. It was the fastest tire change I have ever seen. By this time the group was no where to be seen. I ended up riding with the three of them and we did 45 miles which was about 13 farther than the group so it worked out. While riding Gary noticed my bike needed some adjustments. I took it t him today and it was the best service I have ever had. He gave me a great price too. He spent a lot of time with me since I have only been riding about 3 yrs and went above and beyond his mechanical duties in helping me with nutrition and showing me things to help me in the future. I know they don't like the promoting of other shops on here but I have to give credit where credit is due. Thank you so much Gary for all of your help. And, fail to the
Gyro's for not waiting on mechanicals as your ride describes.
