You have already proven there is enough interest in this ride to still show up and have a great day. Please be safe and watch out for each other! MEETING PLACE: Ravenstone Plaza TIME: Saturday 6/12 at 8:00 am DISTANCE: 44 miles ROUTE: See attached cue sheet PACE: 16-17 - No drop but you MUST be able to maintain the minimum pace. NOTE: If you have never ridden with us before, this is NOT the weekend to show up. Please come at a time when Diana or I am there. If you are not familiar with riding in pacelines, please take a moment to review this http://www.raleighgyros.com/training.htm When you are at the front of the line, please do not stop peddling! It slows the entire group. The goal is to maintain a consistent pace without surging up hills or slowing down. If you get tired, you have pulled too long and need to safely pull off and allow the next rider to take the lead. If you do not feel strong enough to take a pull, when it is your turn at the front, simply signal to the next rider that you are pulling off the front and go to the back of the line. Also, I've seen a lot of people in the front turning around to hear or see what's going on behind them. This can also be unsafe. You may not realize it, but your bike swerves and you typically stop peddling. Again, please watch out for each other and don't drop anyone!!! Thank you!
