Gyros, I am planning on riding my Trek 7500 hybrid that has 35cc tires. This was perfect for the Virginia Creeper Trail when I rode it in October 2008. I am guessing it is similar terrain on the New River Trail. Galax is really the only place to stay. Many hotels/motels/cabins have direct access to the trail. I would encourage anybody interested in going to go to the visit galax website. Lot's of information on accommodations, restaurants, things to do, etc. Bring a camera. I am expecting some great photo opportunities. I am planning on riding in the Saturday "B" ride. Come talk to me if you are interested in going. I have more information that I can share if you have any questions. I am thinking of going sometime in August, September, or October. If you are interested, let me know what dates work for you during that time frame. I cannot go between 9/25/10 and 10/3/10. I would like to set a date soon so that there is time for arrangements to be made.
2 days, 114 miles, beautiful scenery! Enjoy the day, -David ---- mary dorsey <[email protected]> wrote: > This sounds quite wonderful. I wonder if I can snag a friend's hybrid for > this.
