Lance is only one year older than he was last year when he finished
3rd. And he said prior to this year's tour that he is better condition
this year than he was for last year's TdF. All the top contenders from
last year are again the top contenders this year except Lance
Armstrong. You would think that he would be in the top 5 or at least
in the top 10. But no, Mr Armstrong is off the radar. And this was
supposed to be the royal rumble between Lance and Contador. So much
for all the pre-race hype.

You don't drop from podium finisher to non-contender in one year
unless you don't have the "juice" to get you into contention. Well, he
said he's in better condition than last year so what's left? Lance has
always maintained he's "...never tested positive" for performance
enhancing drugs. And I've never gotten a speeding ticket either. But
does that mean I've never gone over the speed limit?

Jacques Anquetil, 5 time winner of the TdF, said it best, "You don't
ride the Tour de France on mineral water alone." So Lance, how's that
mineral water taste?
