Tony, Scratch me from the ride. I am trying really hard to overcome some of the issues that I am experiencing, but I just can't seem to get beyond a certain effort level. And, in cycling that is climbing. I was fine yesterday on every aspect of the ride until we turned it up on the climbs. This just requires more power than my body can deliver, and, I am not sure if it will ever change.
Yesterday I had to back it down on all of the serious climbs and got dropped to the point where I almost lost sight of the group. As you recall I was not a bad climber in past years, and was often times at the front. Ok. Enough on that. The moral of the story is that although the ride in the moutains is the very thing that I need to improve my climbing, it would just be a bit too much for this beat up body. Enjoy your day of suffering! It should be a great ride with a great group. And, when you all get back it will be that much tougher trying to stay with the horses on our group rides! Rick PS. At this point I consider myself an average A- rider, and, a B rider on the climbs. Sheesh. I would have never thunk it possible! See you on Wednesday. PPS. It was great speaking with Nancy yesterday. She looks just fine, but I could see it in her eyes, and hear it in her voice that she is a bit scared.Who can blame her? This is why I do not feel sorry for myself with the things that I am dealing with...very minor in the scope of things. -- Tony <[email protected]> wrote: > Guys, > > A lot of you asked me today if our ride was still on.
