Hi Sharon, In the US, there is Billy and Charlie (http://www.billyandcharlie.com/). They could probably do custom work, but I don't know of their backlog since they sell at Pennsic. They reproduce historical artifacts for the accurate reenactor, as well as toys. They do nice work. Their website is a bit old, but there is an address and a way to contact them.

As far as dying in the heat goes; yay fewer clothes. The problem is buying closures. I don't have the time to make any. There is a dearth of 16th c thingummy sellers around this part of Europe and I can't find any online. I am either not using the right search words, or I am out of luck. I have tried Dirndl sellers and I know I can get the stuff in pewter, silver or even gold locally for folk costumes. I have brass hooks and eyes so far. Do any of you have a seller you can recommend?
