I've tried this method, and the issue I have is that even the cap
doesn't stay. I can be sitting still and within about 10 minutes the
little bugger slides right off the back of my head, even if it's tied
under my chin!
Do you have the "made from a square" early sort, or the later one with
three pieces, which narrows down a bit toward the face? The latter
might stay better. Also using a rougher fabric might help -- a larger
weave linen, for example.
