One thing to consider with a train is how the skirt will drape when held
up, especially while dancing.  At Newport last week, while dancing at
the Astors' 1890's Ball, one of the actors who works there was waltzing
with her train in her hand, in a very lovely deep red (I think) dress,
but you could see tons of white underskirt!  Ruined the effect.
