"The American" is on DVD if anyone wants to see it. It is hard to find
on Amazon, there are a ton of films with "American" in the title, but it
is there. You could try looking for the stars' names.
I have "The Woman in White" on VHS tape. The novel is by Wilkie
Collins. He also wrote "The Moonstone," and there is a good film of
that, which I also have on tape. "Lady Audley's Secret" is another good
Gothic film.
The BBC "Bleak House" is on film too.

Anyway...speaking of Dickens and Diana Rigg, there's a "Bleak House" I've
never seen. BBC, I think. And a "Woman in White" [who wrote that one? a great
little gothic yarn!] I did see and loved. Neither are on DVD or tape or
anything that I can find.
