Hi,
I used that pattern for my Captain Jack Sparrow cotume.
And a pattern from I think Sinmplicity for the size.
http://www.deredere.dds.nl/18thcent/18man/Jack/Jack.html
It worked quite well.

I got my book as a remaindered library book - its the small hardback
early edition - but everything inside is just the same.
I found another pattern online that has the fold lines marked -

It looks something like this,

find the pattern about 1/3 the way down the page, "Pattern for a
Jutaucorps [sic] with pagoda sleeve"
Norah Waugh's book is a very good source. Expensive, but worth it.

Does anyone know how to make kick pleats on the back of a pirate
coat? Like the one Johnny Depp wore in Pirates of the Carribean?
The pleats look like they have alot of fabric but seem to lay
smooth at the top where the pleats begin. Any help would be much
appreciated.
