Thanks again for your site. I used a thin layer of wadding, just enough to
soften it, and cut it on the straight. It just worked somehow like that. I
have a dress diary written out for it (Headdress diary?) but need to add
the pictures.

Oh, yes, please do. I would love to know how you made your gable, as that's
next on my list of Tudor hats to do. I really have to remake my French hood
first, now that I've learned how not to do them.
