For cufs i would use a guipure lace. Engageantes you can use tulle
ground lace.
Guipure lace has more body and are more sturdy to make cuffs out of .
Many engageants I have seen are made of very fine white cotton with
whitework embroidery, also known as Ayrshire work. Also seen a pair
in all over broderie anglais.
