I'm starting to think this actually might BE ramie--it's got a lot of the characteristics, and from what I've heard it's not uncommon for ramie to be listed as linen, even by manufacturers. (Ramie is getting a lot more popular lately, which I'm delighted to hear about; I like it even better than linen.) I'm pretty sure there's cotton in it, though ...sigh. Now I just need to get my hands on a microscope!
