Sorry - meant to reply to this a couple of days ago, and completely forgot ( too much work, too little time). Somebody mentioned livinghistory.co.uk as a way for finding a group - I'd recommend against it - it's a discussion board - participants have quite a limited range of interest, and more tha 3/4 are late medievaists (c.15th). Histrenact lists groups on it's website, and 'call to arms' can be bought by mail order (lists practically every group in the country along with contacts and what they do - and a few that aren't in the uk). had a word with Nige, too, and he suggests the jousting at the royal armouries (about two hours from london by train if you get the right train), and the early medieval alliance (I'm not sure what their kit is like as I've never seen it, but they apparently do the chivalric thing). _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list [email protected] http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
