Oops, I need to clarify. Yes the puffs are fake from my interpretation of the painting. I was trying through a fogged brain (still a bit fogged) to say the "epaulette"(?) or the sleeve section with the poofs coming out is attached to the gown bodice and the embroidered sleeves which I believe are detachable are tied onto either the corset or the arms eye of the gown's bodice. Does this make any sense? De
