I don't have the accession number for the shirt, sorry, but you might be able to find pictures of it online (people's websites and blogs, if nothing else). Or maybe the V&A website? I'll try to remember to dig around in my old bookmarks file this weekend, if someone else on the list doesn't beat me to it. ;o) I was quite singularly bummed out about not getting to see that darned shirt on my one-and-only visit to the V&A, but they'd taken that exhibit down, and put in some stupid 20th century ballgown thing. (my apologies to those of you fond of such things, but they're not my cup of tea as clothing or as historical pieces) I'll have to root through my blackwork files to get the cite for the book, but that, I know I have.
