Actually, there's some anecdotal evidence that original CW confederate uniforms 
were given out to POWs, but during WWI, not WWII.  Nobody has been able to 
prove it conclusively, though, to the best of my knowledge.

  I find this hard to believe since by the early 1900s, Civil War stuff was  
  already treasured....especially in the South.
