Hi,
I browsed on Olgas gallery under Joshua Reynolds portraits. Gosh how
wonderfull these are. There are so many ladies wearing turkish dress, and i
wondered was this just a wim for portraits, or did they really dress in
turkish some times?
I also noticed that Georgiana Duchesse of Devonshire is portraited 2 times,
the lady who often is quoted in costume books with the worries of tight
laced corsets.
Lastly i noticed that many of the names portraited, is names mentioned in
Jane Austens books.
