This is a rather late response, but I would recommend _Hispanic Costume:
1480-1530_ by Ruth M. Anderson. It covers both Spanish and Portuguese fashion,
apparently at the time they weren't very different. (And besides the
appropriateness of the subject, the book's organization and detail pictures are
amazing, _and_ it's in print for $29.00!) One caveat: it does focus on upper
class garb; it works a lot with royal inventories as well as the pictorial
sources.
