Was looking at my book this AM. Just to drive home that I do not hate this
book or anything, and having gotten over the disappointments I had about it, I
thought I'd point out some [more] things I like, beside those great pictorial
instructions for men's hose.
Thanks for posting your review. You brought up a number of points about
the book, and so did the others in the discussion, that it's helped me
get a good feel for the content. It's nice to know what we're getting,
and not getting, before we spend money. I was hoping for something new,
some as-yet unknown secrets of costuming this period, so I think if I
had bought it I'd have been disappointed too. I'll probably end up with
the book eventually, but now that I know what's really in it, it's
farther down my list.
