Yeah, garment-weight, or perhaps jacket-weight. The original coat was made
of deerskin (suede side out, leather side in, self-faced), and deerskin just
doesn't really come in too thick a weight, so you might want to go that
route. I remember having a good reason for not using deerskin with mine, I
just can't remember what it IS...
