I did read the Da Vinci Code, not a bad airport novel but too wound up in it's own mythology, I thought. The Jesus-had-decendants theory has been around for years and was most prominently layed out in Holy Blood, Holy Grail byt Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln, subject of the recent copyright lawsuit with Brown. Well worth a read and includes report of an interview the authors had with the alleged direct decendant of Jesus and Magdaline.
