Hi
How about Christine of Denmark?
She was painted by Holbein. She had great influences in the politics of Europe.

Can you be more specific? There are recently published (and to be published)
books regarding different costuming periods. Similarly, some of the
interesting books were published last year--is that "lately" enough, in your
opinion?

I'm interested in the 15thC and early 16thC, and it's surprisingly hard to find good books that cover the first quarter of the 16thC in any depth. They all seem to skip right over it so they get to the titillating, off-with-her-head stuff, or to the Elizabethan mess.

(I really couldn't care less about England, but I'm resigned to the fact that unless I break down and learn French, I'm not likely to get much other than Tudor stuff for my time period!)
