What kind of fimo jewelry are you doing?

Very modern, bright-coloured stuff, for the moment. I'm planning on doing a few period pieces eventually though. There's a book I've heard about "Make your own antique jewelry" or something similar that I really need to get my hands on at some point.

I've seen some really interesting
pieces--the lady on this list who lives in Germany (Dierdre? probably
mangling her name...) did some great bits, a while back for a partlet, IIRC.

Yes, and it was very, very beautiful.

I've always been kind of intrigued with the idea of playing with some of the
stuff that's got real metal in it. Would be nice for tokens for tourneys
and such....

Well, for one thing, you need a pottery oven to bake it. Regular FIMO goes in a regular baking oven, but the metal stuff needs much higher temps. And it's far from cheap.

If I ever do something of the kind though, I'll most likely make it out of regular FIMO and then use one of the very convincing metallic paints over it, or even real silver or gold foil. Hey, it's a period technique, after all - using foil, I mean, not FIMO :-)
