Hi,
I wondered if any have suggestions i could use to "stiffen" a fabric. I am talking about that cotton/viscose damask weawed fabric wich i baught a lot of. It is a little two heavy when draping. I wondered if there might be any fabrics i could use to line it with, to help it get more support. I am planning a francaise dress with this, and thoaght about maybe to use a quilted petticoat over the hip panniers, to hide the sharp edges of the bones. Do you think perhaps a organza fabric would help the fabric to get more body to it?
Any other suggestions.
I am determined to use this fabric, as i otherwise didnt know what to do with it, and i thoaght it would be a waste, not to use it. Maybe the finished dress would be ok? Its not a big pannier dress, only small hip panniers, inspired by the dress in Dangerous Liasions, the woman playing the harp.
