Seems like a bunch of the lists I'm on have a thread going about current projects. So thanks to all of you who answered my plea for some sort of idea of what to charge for contract work. Well, I'm now under contract to do a bunch of 20th century sewing, 1919, 1943, and early 1950's. Thank heavens it's in an era where it is mainly machine work, since it needs to be done by July 10. I think it is wild that I'll probably be getting more money for this than if I was still on wages. The explanation is that the museum can take the money from a different pot, one that couldn't have been used for wages. Oh the craziness of restricted funds. What really gets me is that I think this was the plan from the very beginning.
