When I want to do some serious shopping I go visit my folks in Washington, DC and go to G Street. Boy do I miss living near Los Angeles and the garment district!!! And even G Street isn't what it used to be. Let's face it, fewer and fewer people are sewing. G Street has cut way back on their assortment in the last few years, and of course ended their on-line service a while ago. Don't get me wrong--I'm glad to have them handy, but they aren't like the "old days"--even 10 years ago.
