I think JoAnn's is getting ready to move in some new and different merchandise, but I can't think what. Just visited the largest JoAnn's in our area, and it has been completely remodeled. The apparel fabrics seem to be a fraction of what they used to be. Home dec and quilting remain about the same. Crafts has been expanded to include a bunch of yarn, although there are a lot of holes in that section, and the framing area seems bigger, too. Even G Street Fabrics does not seem to carry nearly the assortment of apparel fabrics or trims that they used to. I think they are pushing their custom home decorating business more. I guess we just have to face the fact that people are not sewing apparel nearly as much as they used to.
