MMmmmmmmm....yummy butter yellow. The embroidery is stunning.
But of course I have to complain. I miss the ruffle on the petticoat. I
think it needs it, especially with the fancier "bird" stomacher. The petticoat
looks unfinished in the context of 18th century wide pannier gowns. Were it
worn
over pads and more modest without a train and such, the ruffle-less
petticoat might fly. But my mind wants to see some fussy 3-d something peaking
out
from the front edges of the gown. It's just part of the aesthetic.
But don't mind me....it's a beautiful stunning ensemble.
