All I want to create is the blue dress from June in the Duke of Berry's book of hours.
I would not expect that look from this pattern. The body isn't close-fitting enough and the skirts are too skimpy. I I made it about 13 years ago and thought it made me look "frumpy and middle-aged" then. (On the other hand, I just washed it again last night - it is very useful for wearing during things like camp set-up, inclement weather...) I have had much better luck getting that look with mundane patterns with princess seams.
