Although, for the most part, the idea that television has not a clue to the correct portrayal of historical costume (nor do they care)in some instances it is not their fault - rather the limited budget the independent producers have to work with. Not having the money to spend on someone with the knowledge to get it right, nor on the correct materials to see it done properly will affect our viewing pleasure. However the mass populous does not know the difference. But, if such programs grabs just one person's imagination so that that person desires to research more - then a possible goal has been met.
