>Also, were I designing, I would do Christmas past in all whites and off
whites, with gauzy and fuzzy fabrics. The "Present" would be in bright aniline
dyes, plaid taffetas and such. Christmas future is all black and dark browns.
This not only looks great and gives the right feel to each episode, it is
sorta accurate to what was actual popular at those times. The Past is a faded,
flowing dream. The present is vibrant and here and now. The future murky,
unknown and kinda scary.<<

I like this idea. I will run it by the 'producer'.
Thanks for the solid time frame on dates, 1800's (the past) and 1840's being
the present.
Least that is what I am understanding the producer wants.
The cast is very small and the budget is a very thin shoe string.
There will be lots of re-purposing, to save money, time and sanity.
I am roping in some help with the sewing but I imagine I will have to
cut most of the stuff out myself, as the usual helpers dont know much about
adjusting a pattern. But they got heart.
And I run acrossed several patterns in my stash that might help save some $$.
Plus this is a good excuse to go thru my less fav fabrics and thin down the
'store'
in my garage. I am so glad for this list, because ya'll are so knowledgable
and
understand 'fabric-addiction'.
