(By the way, my posts are coming out of order; there's still at least one
floating out there somewhere. No doubt we'll see it come in out of the blue
in about 3 months.)
On my issue #3, I wasn't too clear--I don't doubt that it's a hole/opening;
the part that puzzles me is the odd pink splotchy part _inside_ the hole!
Somehow, it just doesn't look like that's how Clouet intended it to look,
you know? I don't know the dimensions of the painting, though, so maybe it
wasn't meant to be examined this closely.
