I've seen it more than twice in SCA wear, but I've never seen any
evidence hat it's a period style.
It's not so much the gores--it's the gores in contrasting fabric. Were
the gores in the same fabric as the main body, the cut isn't half bad,
although I'm not sure about ten separate inserted gores.
