I wasn't sure if it was a bra or a camisole. She should definitely
try them with a camisole or t-shirt and no bra. Then we could see
what the stays actually do for her.

What I see is the front edge poking out past her bustline, and that
needs to be brought in. You want it to come straight back,
compressing her breasts into "pleasing mounds". You do not want them
pressed in from the sides. Paintings were done without a cleavage
line (where the breasts actually touch), so I think it is
unfashionable and undesired.

Did you make them as boned panels, whipstiched at the seams? I saw a
set of extant stays that had been altered by undoing the seams
partway and overlapping the panels! It's not the neatest alteration,
but was done. Otherwise you can take out a bone or two for a neater
fix.

When I would measure for stays, I would take a compressed bust
measurement in order to mimic what the stays do.

Very nice workmanship, and a pretty color!
