Hi everyone, I'm looking for 16th century images of bum rolls (no not to wear with a Spanish Farthingale), I've got 2 in mind in particular, the first is a cartoon poking fun at fashion, it shows women in a dressmaker's shop and there's at least one woman with her skirt lifted up to show the bum roll.
There's a cropped close-up here: http://www.geocities.com/technically_naked/grueso8.jpg And a smaller, but fuller image here: http://kalenhughes.com/db4/00326/kalenhughes.com/_uimages/bum1.jpg
The second is a painting, all I can remember is a group of women sitting on stools in the foreground wearing pastel colours facing away from the viewer to look at something in the middle of the painting
Not familiar with this one, sorry. Dawn _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list [email protected] http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
