This is from a belly dance list I'm on. Any suggestions for her? I've
already posted never put anything like nail polish on vintage fabric.

I have just volunteered to 'rescue' an old bra and belt assemble for
my teacher..... The top fabric looks like it is 100 years old and is
slowly falling apart. However, it has very integrate bead work on it,
and she really likes the set to be preserved. I know how to 'rescue'
the back side (new interfacing and lining, but what would be the best
way to stabalize the fabric on the outside without damaging the bead
work? I was thinking about sealing the beadwork (once I reinforce the
beadwork) with nailpolish - what do you gals think?
:)
