The metamorphosis between "faces" reminds me of nothing less than the "transformations" in werewolf movies. "An American Werewolf in London" in particular has the whole face stretching and morphing. Ugh! I accept that it is very clever, but goodness it gives me the creeps. Too many horror movies in my youth no doubt!
