Well, I don't know if they are still there (we moved
east 15 years ago) but there used to be a couple of
silk warehouses in the LA garment district. Some of
the local folks can probably say for sure. Twenty
years ago I bought some really excellent Chinese silk
for a really excellent price. I couldn't tell you the
per yard now, but I spent only $50 total and still
have some left. I think it averaged out to about
$1.50/yd.

I know I managed to get two wedding gowns, some happy
coats and a bunch of pillows from the remnants. I
hope it is still there. One day I will get back out
there to visit my in-laws in Laguna Niguel and take a
side trip to LA.

The only twelve steps I'm interested in are the ones between the flat folds and
the brocades. --Anonymous Costumer--
