The lower sleeve, which is fairly fitted on your arm, is affected
greatly by being on the straight or cross grain.  A tighter fit and
better freedom of movement is possible with a bias lower sleeve.  A
looser fit works with straight grain.

I really need to go starch my leg-o-mutton sleeves for Newport.  Only
2 weeks away and so many outfits to get in order.

I have light weight cotton and slightly heavier.
Normally shirts are from lightweight cotton but I wonder if that would
work well with these sleeves.

Should I cut the sleeves on the strait or on the cross grain?
